Notes on our label
Why we print every label on cream cotton paper, and set it in a typeface from 1798.
A Didone for a dawn
Our wordmark is set in a Didone, the high-contrast serif that Giambattista Bodoni cut in Parma. It looks best large, small and in black, which is exactly how a label is read.
“Scent is the only sense that goes straight to memory.”
Paper, not plastic
The label is cotton paper, letterpress printed in Lyon. It ages slightly with handling, and we like that each bottle wears in differently.
Refill, don't replace
The cap and glass are made to be refilled. Bring any bottle to a stockist and we will refill it for 30 percent less than a new one.
